Bogota call: become a collaborator in the Local Lab

CILA is supporting the development of the Local Lab in Bogota. Its objective is to apply methodologies that generate trust and citizen empowerment around local and city problems and citizen participation through the creation of scalable, replicable and sustainable prototypes, in order to shorten the distance between citizens and district institutions. In this way, democratic culture and the knowledge and appropriation of citizen and community participation mechanisms are fostered.
It will be held in Bogota on August 14 and 19, 2023.
If you are:
- Over 18 years old
- Accounts with experience related to any of the projects that are chosen for the call.
- You are available to work in person at the Lab from August 14 to 19, 2023.
- You enjoy working in a team
- You believe in the innovation, collective intelligence and citizen participation

The projects to which you can apply as a collaborator are:
(1) The organization ATR A TODO RITMO presented the initiative called “A Vuelo de Pájaro” which aims to promote a different educational approach to the traditional one, from the new alternatives in education, which bet on the recognition of knowledge and learning in the territory. Through the development of a large-scale mural, in the locality of Barrios Unidos, a scientific illustration of an endemic bird in the wetlands of Bogota will be developed, which will cause a visual impact.
The profiles of the collaborators required for this project are:
- People with knowledge in environmental issues and/or specifically about birds.
- People with knowledge in the creation of murals.
- People with knowledge to be exhibitors.
- People with knowledge in digital diagramming or graphic design.
- People with knowledge of transmedia narratives.
(2) The organization INCLUSIÓN FEMENINA CON PASIÓN presented the initiative called “Desde lo sensorial, una apuesta a la diversidad” which aims to strengthen the learning and teaching processes of diverse populations, and the support of innovative pedagogical tools that strengthen the sensory and motor skills of children with hearing impairment.
The profiles of the collaborators required for this project are:
- People with knowledge in inclusion issues.
- People with knowledge in Colombian sign language interpretation.
- People with knowledge in sensorial pedagogical activities in early childhood.
- People with knowledge in handicrafts.
(3)The organization MESA DISTRITAL DE EMPRENDIMIENTO HIP HOP presented the initiative called ” A 1 Click del Hip Hop” which is a proposal for collective participation that will allow the Hip Hop community to achieve a space on the web to transform the training spaces, strengthening collaborative networks, and the circulation of cultural economies.

- People with knowledge in graphic design.
- People with knowledge in photography.
- People with knowledge in social media management.
- People with knowledge in marketing.
- People with knowledge in web development.
(4)The organization CHARLES FILMS presented the initiative called “Entre luces y sombras” (Between Lights and Shadows), which through community cinema aims to create and develop audiovisual pieces with social content, showing the realities, dynamics and problems of the neighborhood, such as school dropouts.

- People with knowledge in photography.
- People with knowledge in script creation.
- People with knowledge in sound engineering.
- People with knowledge in art direction.
- People with knowledge in art education.
(5)The organization CREA, VIVE, SUEÑA presented the initiative called “Crea, Vive, Sueña tu Ciudad” (Create, Live, Dream your City), a citizen initiative whose work is developed in favor of generating in the city of Bogotá an attitude that favors the recognition, recovery, care and promotion of the territory, axis of the CREATE component, as a strategy of appropriation to LIVE our city and propose actions that strengthen the processes of care of the territory to DREAM the city.
The profiles of the collaborators required for this project are:
- People with knowledge in environmental issues associated with the recovery of public spaces.
- People with knowledge in digital marketing.
- People with knowledge in performing arts.
- People with knowledge in environmental education.
- People with knowledge on issues related to critical points of the Rafael Uribe Uribe locality.
(6)The MAIZ ARTISTIC COLLECTIVE presented the initiative called “Women Seed Festival” with the aim of promoting the transformation of public space and recovery of depressed spaces through urban art, guided tours through artistic circuits, planting processes and urban gardens.
The profiles of the collaborators required for this project are:
- People with knowledge in social media management.
- People with knowledge in management of cultural projects with artistic approach.
- People with knowledge in jurisprudence.
- People with knowledge in artistic curatorship or curatorial issues.
(7) The organization SEMILLEROS DE INVESTIGACIÓN IMAGINARIOS POR LA PAZ presented the initiative called “Education without Walls”, which consists of the elaboration of a pedagogical-artistic material to facilitate the understanding and appropriation of the chapter of Findings and Recommendations of the Final Report of the Truth Commission.

- People with knowledge in Illustration.
- People with knowledge in sound engineering.
- People with knowledge in the realization of Podcast.
- People with knowledge in pedagogies for Peace.
(8) The organization ÚLTIMO ENJAMBRE presented the initiative called “BreakTIC: Platform for teaching and virtual dissemination of Breaking” which aims to create a learning portal that stores audiovisual and interactive resources made by professionals of this dance in Bogota, ensuring that the information and access to it will last over time.

- People with knowledge in video and photo editing.
- People with knowledge in sign language interpretation.
(9)The organization FUNDESAT BARRIOPINTO presented the initiative called “GeoPlan Altos de la Estancia” which aims to create a virtual cartographic tool with which social organizations and institutional actors with competence and interests in urban issues in Altos de la Estancia will plan, follow up and monitor the different programs and projects that are territorialized within the framework of the Altos de la Estancia Action Plan.

- People with knowledge of web developer.
- People with programming knowledge.
(10)The organization LA CHUCUA RÉCORDS presented the initiative called “Podcast Al Barrio” which promotes citizen participation, inclusion and the valuation of the experiences of the people of the neighborhood through the realization of a podcast workshop in Bogota, collecting popular stories and generating a cultural archive.

- People with knowledge in voice-over.
- People with knowledge in sound engineering.
