Innovating from the South is possible. A repository of useful resources to achieve it.

From CILA we built a repository of useful resources that makes available tools to democratize innovation in the cities of the South and work towards a democratic, collaborative and transformative governance. We did not set out to invent the wheel but to map existing resources that were valuable and the mission is not over yet.
Innovation is not an invention, it is a social act that proposes a new way of executing an idea. It does not respect hierarchies and can be born anywhere in the organization. So innovation is knowing methodologies, tools, useful resources that can be used to execute an idea in a different way.
Under this premise, from the CILA – Cities in Action project, we want to add our grain of sand and generate the repository of “Useful Resources” to strengthen governance in the Global South through tools, methodologies and innovative programs that were created by members of CILA and its community. There you can find audios or videos, databases, guides, manuals, innovative methodologies, courses, indexes, games, research and books. From toolkits to develop Open Government strategies in your municipality, to evaluations to measure the impact of your organization, are some of the things you can find.
Do you know of a useful resource that you like? Does your organization or government work with a transformative methodology that could be used elsewhere? Do you want to be part of the community that seeks to innovate and transform the South? Fill out the form to participate in the repository!
